- Complete CUBE Bunkers run from $251,900 (2 cubes, 4 people) to $766,800 (8 cubes, 16 people).
- The cube shell is about 75% of a CUBE 4; the life systems are the rest.
- Soil, water table, depth and access are why any honest price is confirmed after a site visit.

"Complete" means the cubes, the doors and exits, interior finish, site work, and the five systems a bunker cannot be lived in without: air, power, heat and humidity, plumbing and waste. These are installed prices in northern Utah and are preliminary until engineering for the cube system is complete. Outside Utah, your dealer adds freight and quotes installation for your site.
Where the money goes in a CUBE 4
A CUBE 4 sleeps eight in four cubes. Its structure, finish and site work come to $322,000:
- Four cubes at $35,500 each, finished inside at $12,000 each
- A mate package on both sides of every joint at $4,000 per side
- The exterior door at $29,000, an emergency exit at $14,000, and an end cap at $6,000 on every other outside wall
- Site work at $17,000: excavation in normal soil, bedding, drainage, the engineering stamp, permits at cost and inspections
The systems sized for eight people add:
- Air (Standard): $21,900
- Power (Household): $68,100
- Heat and Humidity (Basic): $4,400
- Plumbing (Basic): $9,400
- Waste (Basic): $3,600
Total: $429,400. Power is the largest system line, because batteries, an inverter and a standby generator large enough for a household are expensive in any building.
What raises the price
- Groundwater. A high water table pushes up on a buried structure. It takes more drainage, waterproofing and sometimes anchoring.
- Rock. Ledge or cobble slows excavation and may need a breaker or blasting.
- Access. The crane has to reach every cube. A long reach means a bigger crane.
- Distance. Each cube ships as an oversize load, so freight grows with miles.
- Upgrades. NBC air filtration, a larger power system, decontamination, an escape tunnel and the rest of the options are priced individually in the Builder.
Comparing quotes
Third-party price roundups put underground bunkers anywhere from tens of thousands of dollars for a bare shell to millions for a large finished shelter. The spread is mostly what is left out. When you compare, ask each builder what the number includes: delivery, excavation, backfill, engineering, permits, and which systems. A low price for a box that still needs air, power and plumbing is not a low price for a bunker.
Questions
Is a bigger bunker cheaper per person?
Usually. A CUBE 2 works out to about $62,975 per person and a CUBE 8 to about $47,925, because site work, the door and the core systems are shared by more people.
Can I start small and add on?
Yes. Any outside wall with an end cap can take another cube later, so you can buy the size you can afford now and grow.
