How it works

Built in a plant.
Set in days.

A CUBE Bunker is fabricated indoors, where welds and seals can be inspected, and arrives on your land ready to set. Here is what happens between your first sketch and the day you walk in.

01

Your design

Lay out the cubes in the Builder, or sketch it with your dealer. The Builder keeps every layout buildable: cubes touch on a full side, the door goes on the entry, the exit goes on the far side.

02

Site visit

Your dealer, or Styrkholm in Utah, checks soil, rock, water table, access for a truck and a crane, and where the spoil will go. This is when the price becomes final.

03

Engineering

A licensed structural engineer stamps the drawings for your layout, your soil and your burial depth. Permits are pulled at cost.

04

Fabrication

Styrkholm welds each cube in West Point, Utah, then installs the interior walls, flooring, lighting, wiring and the built-ins your layout calls for.

05

Delivery

Each cube is 10 feet wide and rides a flatbed as an oversize load under state permits. Several cubes can travel on one trip, depending on the truck and the weight limits on the route.

06

Set and seal

The excavation is dug and bedded, a crane sets each cube, the mate packages are bolted and sealed, end caps close the outside walls, drainage goes in and the hole is backfilled.

07

Handover

Air, power, water, heat and waste are commissioned, and your household is trained on every system before the keys change hands.

Grows with you

Add a cube
next year.

Every outside wall is an end cap that can come off. When you add a cube, the cap is removed, a mate package goes on both cubes and the new room opens into the old ones. Plan the spot for it now and leave the ground clear.
