Delivered
Your excavator.
Our spec.
The delivered Shell arrives on one truck with our crew lead. Your excavator digs, beds, sets and backfills to the STYRKHOLM burial spec while we supervise, and we sign off the burial before the hole is closed. You get the CUBE 20 drawings and the burial spec sheet up front.
- Your contractor supplies the excavation, crane, drain rock, flowable fill, helical anchors, drainage board and backfill
- Site engineering, the permit and inspections are yours to arrange; we supply the drawings they need
- Normal soil, 3 ft of cover and crane access, the same as every CUBE Bunker

One way out, or two
The emergency exit
is your choice.
The Shell ships with one way in and out: the hatch. It is sized as the emergency escape opening the residential code asks for below grade, with a fixed ladder, lift assist and an inside release that works with a load on top. Add the emergency exit ($14,000) and it takes the place of the end cap, so the Shell with an exit is $107,950 delivered.
With one hatch there is one way out. A vehicle, a snowdrift, debris or a fire on the ground above the hatch can block it. If anyone will sleep in the Shell, we recommend the second exit. Your county building official has the final say on what your site needs.
Add the rest later
Systems-ready
from the plant.
Sleeves for power, water and waste are cut and capped before the Shell ships, so every other system goes in later without cutting steel. Interior finish is $22,000 when you want it.
| Power, Starter tier | $16,900 |
|---|---|
| Heat and Humidity, Basic tier | $4,400 |
| Plumbing, Basic tier | $9,400 |
| Waste, Basic tier | $3,600 |
| Interior finish, CUBE 20 | $22,000 |
Comparing prices
Read the
fine print.
Many shelter makers publish their prices before freight and installation. Our Holm and Starter prices include site work and installation, so they look higher side by side. The delivered Shell is the like-for-like number: the steel, the entry, the air, supervision and the truck, with the burial left to your contractor.
